Job Summary:

The Carpenter will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks in building, installing, and repairing structures, frameworks, and fixtures. This individual will have experience in both rough and finished carpentry, be able to read and interpret blueprints, and work efficiently with a range of materials. Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to collaborate with other tradesmen and project managers are essential for success in this role. Duties/ Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of carpentry tasks, including framing, roofing, flooring, and drywall installation

• Construct, install, and repair structures such as walls, partitions, and roofing systems

• Build and install custom cabinetry, windows, doors, and other wood-based components

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements and materials needed

• Ensure that the dimensions, angles, and placements of components are accurately followed

• Measure, cut, and shape wood, drywall, and other materials using saws, drills, and other hand or power tools

• Inspect materials for defects and ensure that proper materials are used in each project

• Install and finish woodwork such as baseboards, trim, and moldings

• Apply finishing techniques such as sanding, staining, and painting to ensure a smooth and polished appearance

• Follow safety procedures and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries on the job site

• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a safe and clean work environment

• Work closely with other tradespeople (electricians, plumbers, laborers) and project managers to ensure projects are completed on time and meet quality standards

• Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and address any issues

• Assist with site preparation, including measuring, marking, and laying out dimensions for construction projects
