Job DescriptionPosition: IT Co-op Reports to: Director of Information TechnologyDepartment: Industrial Services Auto Americas - ITPosition Purpose: To provide support for various operation and maintenance systems for the internal corporate environment and local users as well as support for remote site networks that we administer.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Promote teamwork within the I/T group.Assume daily support responsibilities and ensure backup and recovery of network data.Provide support against outside intrusion & virus infection.Data entry of equipment into the corporate Asset Maintenance system for non-staffed sites.Support installation and configuration of Internet services for remote sites.Perform hardware and software installations, updates and upgrades.Provide troubleshooting support for PC and cell phone systems.Assist in the setup and distribution PC's for internal and remote use.Track and Update Internal I/T asset Database.Execute unit and system testing of new software releases.Document procedures to ensure that the knowledge, skills and expertise are available to all users.Work with outside vendors and consultants.Adhering to and supporting all EHS and Quality objectives, in accordance with ISO 14001, 45001 and 9001 respectively.Duties as assigned or as may be necessary as requested by the Director of Information Technology.Competencies:Customer Service Orientation - Satisfying customers.Adaptability - Willingness to deal with unexpected challenges or circumstances.Problem Solving - Defining problems and bring about viable solutions.Servicing the Customer - Readily initiating actions to meet or exceed the needs of the customer.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Team building, listening and trouble shooting skills.Organizational and technical skills.Position Requirements:Knowledge of network and PC hardware - switches, routers, & hubs (Cisco, 3COM, Nokia, etc.) hard drives, memory, etc.Knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems ('XP, Windows 7).Knowledge of MS Office 2010 software package and various anti-virus solutions.Physical Requirements:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the key actions of the job:Much of the work performed in a typical office setting and is sedentary in nature, but will require walking, bending, and carrying of light items such as cables, software packages, CPU's, printers, monitors, etc. Travel to remote Voith sites as necessary.Job RequirementsAs outlined in the job description.Job DetailsJob Type: Full-timeCategory: Office ClericalSalaried: Hourly
