Responsibilities of the Role

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, order necessary diagnostic testing, and develop tailored care strategies
• Diagnose and manage acute, episodic, or chronic conditions in collaboration with physicians or independently (as permitted by your credentials)
• Guide patients and their families regarding prevention, wellness, and chronic disease management
• Prescribe medications and therapies while adhering to the scope of practice
• Engage in patient follow-up and chronic disease management
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic, integrated patient care
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)

Educational Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP) program

Required Certifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in Texas
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or equivalent
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
