Hospitalists are responsible for the overall management of patients' care, including diagnosis, treatment, and discharge planning. They work closely with other members of the healthcare team, such as nurses, pharmacists, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care for their patients.Responsibilities of the Hospitalist include:Evaluating and managing the care of hospitalized patientsDeveloping and implementing treatment plansCoordinating care with other members of the healthcare teamDischarging patients from the hospitalProviding education to patients and their familiesQualifications for the Hospitalist position include:Medical degree from an accredited medical schoolCompletion of a residency in Internal Medicine or a related specialtyBoard certification in Internal Medicine or a related specialtyStrong clinical skills and decision-making abilityExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamLocation:Nestled in Eastern Connecticut this city includes rural country areas, suburban neighborhoods, and historic districts.
