Embark on an impactful contract opportunity supporting students from grades 1 through 12 in a dynamic academic setting near Springville, AL. Two full-time Speech-Language Pathologists are needed to deliver crucial speech services at the elementary level, with flexibility for in-person or virtual delivery considered for the right candidates. This assignment spans from ASAP through late May 2027, offering the chance to build lasting relationships and make measurable differences in education.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid SLP state license and educator certification required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Previous experience in school-based settings strongly valued
- Ability to adapt interventions to diverse caseloads and age groups
- Strong collaborative skills for working with teachers, staff, and families
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for students with a variety of speech, language, and communication disorders
- Provide direct therapy and consultative services to students, ranging from elementary through high school
- Maintain thorough and up-to-date documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic student support
- Participate in IEP meetings, assess progress, and adjust services as appropriate
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource for staff and families on speech-language issues
