Responsibilities Act As a Leader On Duty Oversee daily store operations and ensure sales objectives are met. Evaluate operations continuously and recommend or initiate actions to enhance productivity, efficiency, effectiveness, and profitability. Foster a productive work environment through consistent coaching and training of Sales Associates. Demonstrate a positive, enthusiastic, and brand‑proud attitude. Promote safety for customers and associates by adhering to company guidelines. Partner with the store manager to identify challenges and present solutions. Deliver Exceptional Customer Service Follow the customer engagement model SUGARTAINMENT by setting the stage, welcoming, engaging, entertaining, and thanking the customer. Assist customers with requests and inquiries. Ensure the sales floor is clean and organized while maintaining store visual standards. Operate the POS register to properly cash out all customers. Achieve Sales Goals Follow through on customer requests for specific items and suggest additional products. Use selling skills by explaining benefits, features, prices, quality, value, and other product information. Support Store Operations Maintain store cash handling records, reports, and opening/closing procedures. Ensure visual standards are appropriate and support the brand image. Merchandise displays to visual guidelines. Plan, coordinate, and set up special events and promotions. Maintain communication with associates regarding product recommendations to increase sales/inventory. Understand all Loss Prevention (LP) policies and procedures and communicate LP issues with the Store Manager. Operational Responsibilities include sales floor, backroom, restroom maintenance, cleaning, mopping, etc. Embody Our Core Values Represent our core values: Positive, Playful, Present, and Difference Maker. High School diploma or equivalent preferred. 2 years of retail experience and at least 1 year of supervisor experience preferred. Willing to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Able to work 32‑40 hours per week. Must be able to use a POS/cash register. Able to stand and walk for long periods of time; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Able to independently lift/move up to 25 lbs; lift/move up to 50 lbs with assistance. Must be able to work alone or with minimal supervision.
