Job Title:  Associate, Electrical Engineering RFJob Code:  38728Job Location:  Melbourne, FLJob Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked, and have every other Friday off  Job Description: L3Harris is seeking a Electrical Engineer with a focus on RF SATCOM System development for the Melbourne/Palm Bay, FL location. In this role you will be responsible for designing, developing, modifying, and evaluating RF systems/subsystems with a focus on receive and transmit chain equipment. A familiarity with reflectors and feed design is a plus. You will join a great team of talented professionals who take a collaborative approach and enjoy working together.Essential Functions: Development responsibilities include the design of various passive and active assemblies including RF Converters, power dividers, amplifiers, mixers and filters.Application of RF system engineering principles in analysis and derivation of subsystem requirements and subsequent flow down for RF distribution networks for use with receivers, tuners, signal processors and other components of the RF network.Design and develop sub-systems and system level components to fulfill design objectives and to meet customer requirements.Conduct RF design analysis of components, sub-systems, and systems through, computer simulation and mathematical calculations.Knowledge of how to implement designs based on requirements.Effectively transfer designs to manufacturing and ensure products meet DTC & DFM requirements and quality requirements.RF/Microwave Engineers are expected to support the generation of specification and test documents, create original electrical designs, work jointly with Mechanical Engineering, CAD Designers, Machine Shop and Manufacturing to ensure efficient manufacturing of hardware.Conduct prototype development and testing using state-of-the-art testing facilities.Qualifications: To be eligible, applicants must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Science or related field or have completed their Bachelor’s degree within the last 12 months, regardless of age.
