Director of Rehabilitation – Full-TimeShinnery Oak Community is seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Rehabilitation to lead our in-house rehabilitation program. This full-time leadership opportunity is ideal for a rehabilitation professional who is passionate about clinical excellence, team development, and delivering high-quality, resident-centered care.The Director of Rehabilitation will oversee the daily operations of the rehabilitation department while supporting a collaborative interdisciplinary approach to resident care.The Director is responsible for the overall leadership, coordination, and day-to-day operations of the rehabilitation department. This position provides clinical and operational oversight to therapy services, supports staff development, ensures regulatory compliance, and promotes high-quality outcomes for residents.The Director works closely with therapists, nursing, physicians, administration, residents, families, and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure effective and efficient delivery of rehabilitation services.Responsibilities include:Oversee the daily operations of the in-house rehabilitation departmentProvide leadership, direction, and support to physical, occupational, and speech therapy staffCoordinate therapy schedules, staffing, productivity, and coverage needsMonitor quality of care, clinical outcomes, and resident progressEnsure therapy services are provided in accordance with physician orders, plans of care, and applicable regulationsCollaborate with therapists and interdisciplinary team members to develop and achieve resident-centered goalsParticipate in care plan meetings and interdisciplinary team discussionsMonitor documentation for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company and regulatory standardsSupport compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, state, and federal requirementsAssist with recruitment, onboarding, training, mentoring, and performance management of rehabilitation staffPromote strong communication and collaboration between rehabilitation and nursing departmentsMonitor department performance, productivity, and operational goalsIdentify opportunities to improve clinical outcomes, resident satisfaction, and departmental efficiencyMaintain appropriate staffing levels and assist with coverage and scheduling as neededSupport survey readiness and respond appropriately to regulatory and compliance requirementsMaintain knowledge of current rehabilitation practices, regulations, and industry standardsQualifications and skills include:Current professional therapy license or certification appropriate to the Director's clinical disciplineBachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, or a related rehabilitation field preferredPrevious rehabilitation leadership or management experience preferredSNF, subacute, or long-term care experience strongly preferredStrong knowledge of rehabilitation practices and regulatory requirementsExcellent leadership, communication, and organizational skillsAbility to effectively manage staff and departmental operationsStrong clinical documentation and compliance knowledgeExperience with electronic medical record systems; Net Health preferredAbility to work collaboratively with residents, families, staff, physicians, and facility leadershipCommitment to providing compassionate, high-quality, resident-centered careWhat We Offer:Full-time leadership opportunityIn-house rehabilitation programSupportive interdisciplinary work environmentOpportunity to lead and develop a dedicated rehabilitation teamAbility to make a meaningful impact on resident outcomes and quality of lifeCompetitive compensation and benefits, as applicableJoin Our TeamIf you are an experienced rehabilitation professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for improving resident outcomes, we invite you to apply for the Director of Rehabilitation position at Shinnery Oak Community.Apply today and become part of a team dedicated to providing exceptional rehabilitation services and compassionate resident care.
