Job Summary
A growing real estate and property management organization in Central San Diego is seeking an experienced Community Manager to oversee daily operations for a large multifamily residential community. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for a property management professional who brings strong financial acumen, resident relations expertise, and hands-on leadership experience managing large-scale apartment communities. The Community Manager will play a key role in driving operational performance, resident satisfaction, leasing success, financial accountability, and team coordination. This is a strong opportunity for a seasoned multifamily leader who enjoys working in a collaborative environment with maintenance, leasing, and administrative teams to support property goals and deliver a high-quality resident experience. Key Responsibilities - Manage overall property operations, including leasing, pricing, resident retention, rentals, collections, payables, and resident relations.- Partner closely with the Maintenance Manager and Assistant Manager to ensure operational goals, service standards, and property objectives are met.
- Oversee office management, proposal and contract review, vendor coordination, property inspections, and compliance-related activities.
- Prepare and manage annual operating budgets, capital budgets, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Lead and support leasing, maintenance, and financial operations to improve occupancy, performance, and resident satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with California landlord and tenant laws, Fair Housing regulations, and internal property management standards. Compensation and Benefits - Salary range: $90,000 to $120,000 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Manage daily operations for a large multifamily residential property.- Oversee leasing performance, resident retention, collections, payables, and resident relations.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and capital budget management.
- Coordinate with maintenance and assistant management teams to drive property performance. - Minimum 5 to 7 years of multifamily property management experience.
- Experience overseeing large-scale multifamily properties, preferably 400 to 500 or more units.
- Proven experience managing Class B assets or better.
- Strong financial acumen with hands-on experience in budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and operational analysis.
- In-depth knowledge of California landlord and tenant laws.
- Strong understanding of Fair Housing regulations and property compliance requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high level of professionalism with residents, vendors, and internal teams. Preferred Qualifications - Experience managing large Central or Southern California multifamily communities.
- Prior experience working closely with maintenance leadership and assistant management teams.
- Experience improving occupancy, resident retention, collections, and overall property performance.
- Background managing capital projects, vendor proposals, and service contracts.
