About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in Med Surg and Rehab settings License: Active Virginia State or Compact RN License preferred Certifications: BLS required; CRRN and CPI Blue Cert preferred Must-Have: Experience with peripheral line care and management. Skilled in nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration and isolation precautions. Ability to work within a 1:6 patient ratio, potentially flexing to 1:7. Experience with EPIC charting system preferred. Description: Position available for a Registered Nurse in the Inpatient Rehab/Med Surg department. Shift hours are 7 PM to 7 AM, with a schedule of three 12-hour shifts weekly. Weekend requirements may include every other weekend or six weekend shifts within a six-week scheduling block. The facility may call off one shift every two weeks as needed. Each contract requires the nurse to work one holiday during the contract period. First-time travelers are welcome to apply. Candidates with pending licenses from non-compact states will be considered. Experience with patient diagnoses such as SCVA, SCI, TBI, amputee, and multi-trauma is beneficial. The unit has a total of 33 beds, primarily caring for adult and geriatric patients. Support services available include Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Pharmacy. Comprehensive training includes required clinical skills and team collaboration with interdisciplinary support.
