Must-Have: Active license in hand

Description: MUST HAVE LICENSE PRIOR TO SUBMISSION. Shift: 06:30 - 19:00 (days). Weekend requirement: Every other weekend, 6 weekend shifts per 13-week contract. Floating required: May float between long-term care and acute care as needed. Patient diagnoses include CHF, COPD, pneumonia, respiratory failure, and respiratory infections. Special procedures and unit details include ABG sampling, ventilator management, patient assessment skills, medication administration, and pulmonary hygiene. Skills required include adult critical care, emergency department experience, extubation, intubation assistance, nasal airway placement, oral airway placement, tracheostomy care, troubleshooting high-pressure alarms, and weaning from mechanical ventilation. Candidates will float between facilities as needed. Personal transportation is required due to the rural nature of many locations. Candidates accepted for the first time as travelers. Preferred qualifications include charge experience, experience with charting systems, and familiarity with community hospitals, long-term care, and trauma level care. Daily census and patient ratios may vary. Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, physical therapy, social services, pharmacy, and more.
