Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Summary:
The Emergency Room Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality, urgent care to diverse patient populations in a fast-paced ED setting. This role requires assessing, treating, and monitoring patients with various critical conditions to ensure optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients' medical conditions upon arrival and prioritize care based on severity.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including use of specialty equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of emergency procedures, trauma protocols, and pediatric care standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active NY RN license and all necessary state licenses.
• Possess 2+ years of emergency department experience, including some pediatric care experience.
• Demonstrate current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC (TNCC certification required prior to start).
• Exhibit proficiency in Epic EMR systems and documentation practices.
• Be able to provide a current resume documenting relevant experience and travel history.
• Possess valid driver’s licenses matching address demographics and verification.
