Position Overview

As the Assistant General Manager, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the General Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of our restaurant. From leading Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) teams to maintaining operational standards, you’ll be a hands-on leader who fosters a positive workplace culture while delivering outstanding guest experiences. Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership & Culture

• Support the General Manager in cultivating a professional and positive workplace environment.
• Act as a point of contact for team members, promoting respect and confidentiality.
• Develop and uphold service standards, coaching staff to deliver exceptional hospitality.

Operational Oversight

• Conduct quality control checks for food and beverage consistency.
• Monitor dining room flow, assist with table management, and ensure seamless guest relations.
• Manage the reservation system and guest seating logistics.
• Provide daily guidance to Bar and Kitchen leads to meet shift objectives.
• Oversee the completion of daily opening and closing checklists.

Financial & Administrative Management

• Assist with staff scheduling and review daily labor reports.
• Support inventory counts and maintain vendor relationships.
• Process daily financial reports and administrative paperwork via the POS system.
• Help execute marketing initiatives and special events as directed by the General Manager.

Staff Development & Compliance

• Participate in interviewing, onboarding, and training new hires.
• Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to enhance staff performance.
• Enforce health department and safety standards to maintain a clean and safe environment.

Qualifications

We’re looking for a candidate who brings a combination of experience, leadership, and technical skills to the table: - Experience : Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or management role within a restaurant or hospitality setting. - Leadership : Proven ability to manage diverse teams and deliver measurable results. - Technical Skills : Proficiency in POS systems, inventory management, and labor control software. - Communication : Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure. - Education : A degree in Hospitality Management is preferred but not required with equivalent experience.

Performance Standards

To succeed in this role, you’ll need to be a constant presence on the floor, directly supporting the team during peak hours and ensuring operational consistency. Your ability to execute the General Manager’s directives, resolve guest concerns, and maintain high operational standards will be key to your success.
