Accounting Assistant

Company Winter Growth Inc. Department Finance/Accounting. Reports To Executive Director. Location Corporate Office. Job Summary Winter Growth Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our corporate finance team. This is a full-time, entry-level position ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to build a foundation in corporate accounting. The Accounting Assistant will support Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and general accounting operations while gaining hands‑on experience in a professional corporate environment. Key Responsibilities Accounts Payable (AP) Assist with processing vendor invoices and expense reports. Verify invoice accuracy, coding, and approvals. Enter invoices into the accounting system and support payment runs. Maintain vendor records and respond to basic vendor inquiries. Accounts Receivable (AR) Prepare and issue customer invoices. Record and apply customer payments accurately. Assist with monitoring outstanding receivables. Help maintain customer account records. General Accounting & Corporate Support Perform data entry and maintain organized financial documentation. Assist with account reconciliations and month-end close activities. Support internal and external audits as needed. Follow established accounting policies and internal controls. Provide general administrative support to the accounting team. Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent. Basic knowledge of accounting principles. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Preferred Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Internship or coursework experience in accounting or finance. Exposure to accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, MIP, or similar). Skills & Competencies Ability to handle confidential information professionally. Clear written and verbal communication skills.
