The Executive Director of Marketing & Member Experience provides strategic leadership for the YMCA of
Greater Toledo's marketing, branding, communications, and member engagement initiatives. Reporting to
the Chief Operating Officer, this position develops and executes marketing strategies that strengthen the
YMCA brand, increase membership and program participation, enhance the member experience, and
support the Association's strategic priorities.

This role oversees an integrated annual marketing calendar, aligning membership campaigns, program
promotions, fundraising initiatives, community events, and organizational communications. Through
innovative marketing, digital engagement, storytelling, and data-informed decision-making, the Executive
Director drives organizational growth while ensuring consistent branding and messaging across the
Association.

The Executive Director leads the Marketing Team, supervising the Graphic Designer and Digital
Marketing Specialist, and partners with Executive Directors, Membership Directors, and Program
Directors to develop effective marketing campaigns and resources that support branch success. As a
member of the Association Leadership Team, this individual contributes to organizational strategy while
fostering collaboration, innovation, and operational excellence.

This full-time position offers a competitive salary of $60,000–$80,000 annually, along with a
comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; paid time off;

Responsibilities:
● Lead, coach, and develop the Marketing Team.
● Develop and implement the Association's annual marketing strategy, priorities, and campaign
calendar.
● Serve as the Association's strategic marketing advisor to the COO and senior leadership.
● Partner with branch and program leaders to support membership growth, program participation,
and community engagement.
● Ensure consistent branding, messaging, and communications across all YMCA locations.
● Create marketing resources, templates, and best practices for Association-wide use.
● Monitor marketing performance, analyze results, and provide recommendations for continuous
improvement.

Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree preferred.
● Minimum of five years of marketing, communications, sales, or related leadership experience;
YMCA experience or comparable nonprofit experience preferred.
● CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required (or ability to obtain).
● Strong understanding of marketing strategy, branding, digital communications, and customer
engagement.
● Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
● Highly organized, creative, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities.
● Ability to work collaboratively across departments while also exercising independent judgment.
● Proficiency with Microsoft Office and marketing design/content management tools.
