Electronic Assembler

Job Title: Electronic Assembler Department: Operations/Production Reports To: Production Manager

SUMMARY

While working under moderate supervision the Electronic Assembler is responsible for performing mechanical, optical and electrical assembly and test operations that meet or exceed established company standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform basic testing and inspection to ensure parts and assemblies meet standards. Work with team to meet all assembly requirements.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); or +six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with soldering (IPC J-STD-001 certified preferred). Experience with ESD. Experience with ISO 9001:2000.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, assembly drawings and procedure manuals. Employee must be able to read, write and communicate in the English language.

Specific vision abilities required by this job are close, distance, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus to produce and inspect product or components for quality and cleanliness.
