Tax Manager

Job Roles and Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and train members of the tax team.

Oversee tax planning and compliance activities.

Research, develop, and implement tax planning strategies.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.

Review federal, state, and local tax returns for accuracy.

Advise clients on the tax implications of business decisions.

Collaborate with internal teams to gather financial information for tax reporting.

Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and implement necessary updates.

Manage multiple tax engagements and ensure timely completion.

Maintain strong client relationships through quality service and professional guidance.

Qualifications and Certifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.

Several years of experience in public accounting and tax management.

Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.

Experience leading tax engagements and supervising staff.

Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.

Experience with tax preparation and review processes.

Familiarity with Lacerte tax software is preferred.

CPA certification is preferred.
