Job Opportunity: Physician Assistant

A well-established, not-for-profit community hospital is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) to join its Family Medicine outpatient practice in Southbury, Connecticut. Candidates with a background in Family Medicine or primary care will be considered.

This is a full-time, permanent outpatient position providing comprehensive primary care services to patients across all age groups. Both experienced providers and new graduates with strong clinical training are encouraged to apply.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive primary care services, including preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute visits
• Diagnose, treat, and manage common medical conditions across all age groups
• Perform annual physicals, wellness visits, and health assessments
• Order, review, and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based care delivery
• Educate patients on disease prevention, treatment plans, and healthy lifestyle choices

Qualifications:

• Education: Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Licensure: Active Connecticut PA license (or eligibility)
• Certification: Board Certified as a Physician Assistant (PA-C)
• Training Focus: Family Medicine or Primary Care
• Experience: All experience levels welcome; new graduates encouraged to apply
