We celebrate the unique experiences, backgrounds, and perspectives that strengthen our organization and the communities we serve.What We Offer:• Flexible scheduling opportunities • Competitive hourly compensation • Collaborative multidisciplinary treatment team • Telehealth and in-person service delivery options • Professional development and continuing education opportunities • Supportive leadership and clinical consultation • Opportunity to provide Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) services • Mission-driven work that directly impacts community wellnessWhy BAMSI?• Meaningful Clinical Work: Provide psychiatric care that helps individuals achieve stability, wellness, and recovery. • Collaborative Team Environment: Work alongside therapists, clinicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure coordinated care. • Flexible Practice Model: Deliver services both in-person and through telehealth. • Community Impact: Support underserved populations and expand access to behavioral healthcare. • Professional Growth: Continue building expertise in psychiatric medication management and integrated behavioral healthcare.What You'll Do:The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, medication management, and treatment services to individuals receiving outpatient behavioral health services.Psychiatric Assessment & Treatment• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments • Diagnose mental health and co-occurring disorders • Develop individualized treatment plans that support recovery and wellness • Provide psychiatric medication management services, including Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) when appropriate • Monitor treatment effectiveness and adjust interventions based on clinical needClient Care & Collaboration• Deliver client-centered psychiatric services through both in-person and telehealth platforms • Collaborate with therapists, primary care providers, care coordinators, and other members of the treatment team • Participate in treatment planning and interdisciplinary case consultation • Support integrated, holistic care approaches that improve outcomes for individuals servedDocumentation & Compliance• Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system • Ensure compliance with BAMSI policies, clinical standards, and regulatory requirements • Adhere to all professional ethical standards and prescribing regulations • Maintain active licensure, certifications, and provider credentialsProgram Support• Provide Saturday coverage on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month from 9:00am–1:00pm • Participate in meetings, trainings, and quality improvement initiatives as required • Support ongoing efforts to expand access to psychiatric and behavioral healthcare servicesWhat You Bring:Education• Master's or Doctoral Degree in Nursing with a Psychiatric Mental Health specialization requiredLicensure & Certifications• Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license required • Active Massachusetts Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license required • Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) required • Massachusetts Controlled Substance Registration (MCSR) required • Current DEA Registration with controlled substance prescribing authority required • Active Medicare Provider Status required • Valid driver's license requiredExperience• Minimum of two (2) years of psychiatric clinical experience as a PMHNP or Clinical Nurse Specialist in outpatient, inpatient, or community behavioral health settings • Experience utilizing Electronic Health Records and telehealth platforms required • Experience providing Medication Assisted Treatment preferred • MAT certification or willingness to obtain within six (6) months of hire preferredSkills & Qualifications• Strong psychiatric assessment and diagnostic skills • Knowledge of psychopharmacology and evidence-based treatment practices • Sensitivity to cultural diversity and commitment to equitable care • Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills • Strong organizational and time-management abilities • Ability to work independently and effectively manage a flexible caseloadWhy This Role Matters:As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, you provide essential psychiatric care that helps individuals navigate mental health challenges, stabilize symptoms, and improve overall quality of life.
