Payroll Manager | Hybrid | Atlanta, GA | $90K–$100K + 7.5% Bonus Aprio is partnering with a leading telemedicine company based in Atlanta to find a Payroll Manager for a permanent, hybrid opportunity. This is a high-impact, hands-on role managing payroll for both W-2 employees and a high-volume independent contractor physician workforce across 40+ states. Job Summary Responsibilities Manage the full end-to-end payroll cycle for W-2 employees and 300+ independent contractor (1099) physicians. Review, maintain, and reconcile the 1099 Payroll Master File including ongoing adjustments Interpret physician and employee contracts to accurately process non-standard payroll items — every consultant may have unique payment terms Process off-cycle payrolls, bonuses, commissions, retroactive adjustments, and special payments Calculate commissions for Sales and Recruiting teams Manage the Physician License Recoupment process — tracking, deductions, reconciliations, and communication Prepare payroll journal entries, account reconciliations, and benefit reconciliation Coordinate multi-state payroll tax registrations across 40+ states Serve as Concur Administrator — expense report review, policy compliance, and analyst Serve as Corporate Credit Card Administrator Partner with HR, Finance, Accounting, Licensing, and Operations on payroll accuracy and internal controls Drive payroll automation initiatives and continuous process improvement Qualifications 5+ years of progressive payroll experience 1099 contractor payroll experience required — high-volume physician or consultant payroll strongly preferred Healthcare or physician compensation background strongly preferred Rippling experience is preferred Advanced Excel — VLOOKUPs and pivot tables required Multi-state payroll expertise — NY, CA, and 40+ states Quickbase and Concur experience a plus Payroll accounting experience — journal entries, reconciliations, financial reporting Strong ability to interpret employment and independent contractor agreements #J-18808-Ljbffr Aprio Talent Solutions
