Job Title: HR - Leave & Accommodations Specialist

Location: Aliso Viejo, CA - Onsite

Pay Rate: $50-53/hr. on W2

Duration: 6 months Contract (Extension Possible)

Position Summary

• Seeking an experienced HR professional to manage end-to-end administration of Leave of Absence (LOA), Workplace Accommodations, and Workers’ Compensation (WC) programs for a primarily U.S.-based employee population.
• This role will partner closely with HR, Payroll, Benefits, Legal, managers, and external vendors to ensure compliant, timely, and employee-focused case management

Key Responsibilities

Leave of Absence Administration

• Manage LOA intake, eligibility, documentation, designation, and return-to-work coordination
• Administer job-protected leaves, company-paid leave, and wage replacement programs
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local leave regulations
• Coordinate with leave vendors and internal stakeholders
• Maintain accurate and confidential employee communications and documentation

Workplace Accommodations

• Manage accommodation requests through the interactive process
• Coordinate with managers, HR, Legal, and accommodation vendors
• Maintain documentation and case files for accommodation requests
• Support complex leave and accommodation cases

Workers’ Compensation Administration

• Coordinate workers’ compensation claims and case management
• Support incident investigations and documentation collection
• Assist with return-to-work and transitional duty planning
• Monitor claim progress and vendor responsiveness

Compliance & Operations

• Maintain audit-ready documentation and records
• Ensure confidentiality of medical and employee information
• Track metrics, trends, SLAs, and operational reporting
• Support process improvements and documentation updates

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in HR, Business Administration, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in: Leave Administration, Accommodations Management, Workers’ Compensation
• Experience supporting U.S. leave programs and multi-state compliance
• Experience working with third-party administrators/vendors
• Strong understanding of: Leave laws and processes, Interactive accommodation process, Return-to-work coordination
• Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information professionally
