Overview Registered Nurse - Med Surg, Travel, Templeton, California. Start date 08/31/2026 for a 13-week assignment on a nights (12-hour) shift, three nights per week. Earn a weekly pay range of $2,035 to $2,122 with no guaranteed hours. This is a hospital medical/surgical unit role. The nurse orientation covers planning, coordination, and provision of nursing care, including care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, with supervision and delegation of tasks to CNAs within their scope. This position is represented by a CNA. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,035-$2,122 per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, 3 per week Location: Templeton, California Setting: Medical/Surgical unit in a hospital environment Guaranteed hours: None Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to medical/surgical patients on the unit, following plan of care Assess, monitor, and document vital signs; recognize and respond to changes in patient condition Administer medications and dosages as prescribed; monitor for adverse reactions and effectiveness Develop and update patient care plans; coordinate with the interdisciplinary team for efficient care delivery Communicate patient needs and progress to patients, families, and team members; ensure safe and accurate patient documentation Orient and supervise ancillary personnel (e.g., CNAs) and delegate tasks within the scope of practice Requirements Availability to work 12-hour night shifts (3 nights per week) as part of a travel assignment Ability to care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations Proficiency in care planning, vital signs assessment, medication administration, and patient documentation Comfort coordinating with CNAs and other clinical staff to deliver coordinated care Adaptability to a hospital med/surg setting and to orientation on unit-specific processes Benefits and Support Orientation to planning, coordination, and provision of nursing care on the medical/surgical unit Travel assignment support from Healthforce Healthcare LLC Clear, assignment-specific orientation to patient age needs and unit practices 13-week contract with ongoing assignment support during the travel period Pay Disclaimer Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
