Overview

Responsibilities
- Serve as Nurse Lead on the ER unit, providing unit-based leadership and supervision of nursing and ancillary staff
- Collaborate with the Nurse Manager, Director, physicians, and other personnel to coordinate patient care
- Ensure delivery of cost-effective, professional care with emphasis on patient safety and positive outcomes
- Assess and pursue opportunities to improve patient experience and care quality
- Oversee daily unit operations, staffing, and resource use; escalate issues as needed
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements; participate in quality improvement initiatives

Requirements
- Active RN license in California
- ER nursing experience; leadership or charge nurse experience preferred
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS certification preferred
- Ability to work nights and 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced ER setting
- Education: Nursing degree required; BSN preferred (ADN acceptable)
- Strong communication, collaboration, and patient-centered care skills
