Senior Tax Manager

The Role:
We serve a growing base of business owners through a mix of bookkeeping, tax, and advisory services, with a strong emphasis on recurring relationships and long-term client value.
- We are currently entering a growth phase through operational scaling and future acquisitions, and were building a team that can operate at a high level without constant oversight.
In this pivotal role, you will:
Own tax engagements end-to-endHandle both individual and business returns.
Begin stepping into review and leadership responsibilities. Contribute to a structured, process-driven environment.
This Role Is NOT a Fit If You: Prefer single-client or internal accounting roles. Need constant supervision or reassurance. Avoid deadlines or struggle with prioritization. Dislike structured workflows, SOPs, and accountability. Are only comfortable preparing returns (not owning outcomes).
What We're Looking For- 10+ years of experience in tax management or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Strong knowledge of tax accounting principles including tax experience related to corporate accounting, estate planning, wills & trusts law, securities law, and non-profit accounting.
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Lacerte; experience with financial software for analysis and reporting.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks like SOX compliance standards and GAAP guidelines for accurate financial report writing and interpretation.
- Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data for decision-making purposes.
- Experience in auditing processes, account reconciliation, budgeting, and financial statement preparation.
Nice to Have- CPA or equivalent certification.
- Experience with tax software and technology tools.
- Familiarity with international tax issues and regulations.
- Advanced degree in taxation or accounting.
