Project Manager

We are seeking an IT Project Manager (Agile Delivery) to lead the successful execution of technology initiatives across Agile teams. This role combines Agile facilitation, delivery management, and project coordination to ensure teams remain aligned, informed, and focused on delivering high-quality outcomes. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at managing dependencies and risks, and can effectively partner with technical teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors to drive execution from planning through delivery. This is not a traditional Scrum Master position. While Agile leadership is a key component of the role, this position also requires strong project management and delivery oversight capabilities to support evolving business priorities and organizational needs. What You'll Do Agile Delivery & Execution Lead day-to-day execution for one or more Agile teams. Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Partner with Product Owners and stakeholders to ensure work is clearly defined, prioritized, and ready for execution. Monitor sprint progress and help teams maintain focus on agreed-upon commitments and objectives. Delivery Management Maintain visibility into project timelines, milestones, dependencies, and delivery status. Identify, communicate, and help resolve risks, issues, and blockers that may impact delivery. Track action items and coordinate follow-through across teams and stakeholders. Support release planning and delivery readiness activities. Cross-Functional Coordination Collaborate with business leaders, technical teams, and external partners to align priorities and expectations. Facilitate communication across multiple workstreams to ensure dependencies are understood and managed. Provide timely and accurate updates regarding project health, progress, and delivery risks. Promote Agile best practices and delivery excellence. Leverage tools, automation, and emerging technologies to improve transparency, efficiency, and team effectiveness. Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance delivery performance and team collaboration. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. 6+ years of experience in Agile project management, delivery management, Scrum leadership, or a related role. Active Scrum certification such as: Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) Professional Scrum Master (PSM) Experience facilitating Agile teams throughout the software development lifecycle. Experience managing project timelines, dependencies, risks, and delivery commitments. Strong working knowledge of Azure DevOps or comparable Agile delivery tools. Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Qualifications Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Experience working within scaled Agile environments. Experience coordinating work across multiple teams, vendors, and business functions. Additional Certifications (Nice to Have) Advanced Scrum certifications (A-CSM, PSM II) SAFe Advanced Scrum Master (SASM) or SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) Success in This Role Strong ownership and follow-through on delivery commitments. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Adaptability in balancing Agile facilitation, delivery management, and project coordination responsibilities. A commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence. Work Location This position is based in Madison, Wisconsin and follows a hybrid work model. Team members are expected to work onsite on designated days and collaborate in person with colleagues while maintaining flexibility for remote work. Our working hours are Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm and the role is expected to execute work during these core hours.
