Executive Staff Director - SES Agency: Department of Education Location: Turlington Bldg., Tallahassee, Florida Pay Plan: SES Salary Range: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 Position Number: 48003825 Posting Closing Date: 08/07/2026 Job Description This position is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and maintaining Microsoft (MS) solutions in Azure, including computing, storage, network and security services. The incumbent will assist current staff with Identity and Access Management (IAM), and design, implement, and operate IAM systems using Azure AD. Additionally, the incumbent will administer a custom Azure B2C portal, support Azure AD federation onboarding, proactively secure the agency’s Microsoft 365 enterprise and hybrid environments, implement and manage security and compliance solutions, respond to threats, and enforce data governance. The incumbent will also assist the DevOps team with registering and configuring custom B2B business applications within the Enterprise Applications portlet in Azure. Required Knowledge and Experience Azure AD / Entra ID Federation OIDC/SAML configuration Azure B2B / B2C Microsoft Sentinel Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance Enterprise Application Management Windows Server Administration IAM and Access Governance Duties & Responsibilities Oversee integration of new technologies and initiatives into data standards and structures. Evaluate designs, selections, and implementations of infrastructure changes by comparing with business requirements and design documents. Assess system performance and recommend hardware, software, and data storage improvements. Ensure data and information security by integrating and upholding digital security systems. Analyze, interpret, and organize large amounts of data. Communicate complex problems using non-technical terms. Understand modern database and information technologies. Demonstrate strong math, problem‑solving, and analytical skills. Manage multiple deadlines simultaneously. Minimum Qualifications At least 5 years of experience in technology. At least 3 years managing IT staff. Experience with Azure AD / Entra ID. Experience with IAM and Access Governance. Legal and Background Requirements Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a Level 2 background screening pursuant to Chapter 435, Florida Statutes.
