Maintenance Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership: Oversee maintenance staff, provide training, assign daily tasks, and ensure compliance with safety policies.

Maintenance & Repair: Perform skilled repairs, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and painting.

Preventive Maintenance: Develop and execute schedules to keep equipment and buildings functional, reducing emergency repairs.

Inventory & Logistics: Track, order, and manage inventory of parts, supplies, and tools.

Administrative Duties: Use computerized maintenance management systems to document work orders, submit reports, and track vendor work.

Resident/Facility Service: Respond to service requests, often handling complex or urgent issues personally.

Key Qualifications

Experience: 3–5+ years of maintenance experience, often with a focus in residential, commercial, or manufacturing settings.

Technical Skills: Proficient in HVAC/R, electrical systems, plumbing, and building systems.

Leadership Skills: Ability to mentor junior technicians, communicate effectively with management, and manage vendor relationships.

Certifications: EPA certification for HVAC repairs is commonly required, along with Certified Pool Operator (CPO) if applicable.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
