Commercial & Industrial Credit Risk Analyst AVPLocation: New York, NYSalary: Up to $150k Base + Company & Individual Performance BonusProfessional-level Mandarin proficiency is required4 days Onsite & 1 day Remote(Candidates Choice)Position OverviewAn established international banking organization is seeking a Corporate Credit Risk professional to support its U.S. commercial and industrial (C&I) lending portfolio.This position is responsible for reviewing corporate lending transactions, evaluating borrower creditworthiness, assessing loan structures, and monitoring existing credit exposures.The ideal candidate will have strong financial analysis, corporate credit underwriting, and commercial lending experience.Key ResponsibilitiesCorporate Credit Risk & UnderwritingReview corporate credit requests and evaluate proposed lending transactions against established credit policies and risk appetite.Analyze financial statements, cash flow, leverage, liquidity, and borrower repayment capacity.Evaluate base-case and stress-case financial projections, credit limits, and proposed loan structures.Assess borrower creditworthiness, industry conditions, and potential transaction risks.Prepare written credit assessments, underwriting recommendations, and credit approval documentation.Review internal credit risk ratings, proposed loan terms, and credit policy exceptions.Loan Structuring & Due DiligenceCollaborate with Front Office relationship managers and account officers throughout the credit review process.Evaluate proposed financing arrangements and recommend appropriate credit structures and risk mitigation measures.Support borrower due diligence, including on-site reviews when required.Provide recommendations regarding credit limits, loan terms, and approval conditions.Credit Portfolio ManagementConduct annual and quarterly reviews of existing corporate credit exposures.Monitor borrower financial performance, creditworthiness, and potential deterioration in asset quality.Evaluate industry trends, economic developments, and negative news affecting borrowers.Monitor compliance with credit approval conditions and identify emerging portfolio risks.Track credit policy exceptions and prepare portfolio monitoring reports.Credit Policies, Risk Controls & ReportingEnsure credit reviews and underwriting activities comply with established policies and applicable regulatory requirements.Identify opportunities to improve credit review procedures, risk controls, and portfolio monitoring.Maintain accurate credit documentation and prepare credit risk reports for management.Communicate underwriting findings and recommendations to Front Office teams and other stakeholders.Required QualificationsAssistant Vice President (AVP) LevelBachelor's degree.Minimum 4 years of C&I corporate credit risk and underwriting experience.Strong financial analysis, financial modeling, and corporate credit underwriting capabilities.Experience independently reviewing corporate credit requests and assessing borrower creditworthiness.Knowledge of commercial lending structures, credit risk ratings, and loan exposure management.Ability to prepare documented credit recommendations with minimal supervision.Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.MBA, master's degree, or CFA designation.Experience in corporate banking or wholesale banking.Experience reviewing credit approval memoranda and complex corporate lending transactions.Knowledge of credit risk rating methodologies, loan structuring, and credit policy exceptions.Experience conducting annual and quarterly credit reviews.Familiarity with credit portfolio monitoring, stress-case financial projections, and borrower due diligence.Knowledge of applicable banking regulations and industry risk analysis.Pay Details: $100,000.00 to $150,000.00 per year Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/DisabledMilitary connected talent encouraged to applyTo read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate to Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable:The California Fair Chance ActLos Angeles City Fair Chance OrdinanceLos Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for EmployersSan Francisco Fair Chance OrdinanceMassachusetts Candidates Only: It is unlawful in Massachusetts to require or administer a lie detector test as a condition of employment or continued employment.
