Job details:
Draft legal documents, correspondence, and court filings using software and internet-based applications. Maintain attorney files, calendars (Outlook), and client/contact databases. Correspond with clients and external parties via email and telephone. Assist with billing, including sending statements and invoices. Support limited front desk operations as needed. Perform other administrative duties as assigned. Provide dedicated support to multiple attorneys simultaneously.
What we're looking for:
Minimum 5 years of experience as a legal assistant in civil/commercial litigation. Familiarity with Massachusetts state and federal court procedures. Strong computer skills: Outlook/Outlook Calendar, Word, Adobe, Zoom; Excel and PowerPoint a plus. Experience with document management systems (e.g., NetDocuments or similar). Knowledge of local litigation rules and ECF court filing procedures. Understanding of litigation terminology and the ability to prepare documents in compliance with court rules. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects under deadlines. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Professional demeanor, collaborative mindset, and a "can-do" attitude.
