JOB DESCRIPTION Reports to: Production Supervisor Summary/Objective This role is designed to support our fabrication department with various tasks and assemblies. Primary tasks include checking the fit‑up of tank covers, working closely with Quality Control, assisting with tracking inventory for EVAC, performing pressurized air testing, and assisting with packaging tanks for shipping. Other assembly tasks are also expected. Essential Functions Basic assembly and building of product. Ability to read and understand blueprints. Follow written procedural guidelines during the assembly process. Proper use of power and manual tools. Proper use of calibrated gauges, power and manual torquing devices. Must understand and support all Quality, Product Safety, and Health/Safety/Environmental/Energy policies. Must understand and adhere to all relevant statutory or regulatory compliance obligations. Must understand, support and adhere to the Integrated Management System policies, procedures and instructions. Must understand and support relevant key performance indicators (KPIs), as defined in the goal tree. Skills and Competencies Technical capacity. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance. Knowledge of generally accepted best practices and theory. Good mechanical skills. Knowledge of shop use of measuring devices. Basic knowledge of quantitative methods/statistical procedures and graphic skills. Organization skills. Time management. Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Physical Demands The employee will be exposed to shop floor conditions, i.e. noise, heat, cold, dust/dirt etc. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Required Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent. One to Two years of related experience. Wage and Benefits The anticipated wage scale for candidates who work in Springfield, MO is $16.00 per hour. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors, including but not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type and years of experience within the industry, and education. New York Air Brake is a multi‑state employer; this pay scale may not reflect positions that work in other states or locations.
