Your New Role

• Work fully on site in Philadelphia, PA 19020.

• Process accurate and timely weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees, including overtime, shift differentials, per diem, paid time off, allowances, bonuses, and other special payments.

• Review timecards, missed punches, job numbers, cost codes, and payroll changes, and resolve discrepancies before payroll processing.

• Review payroll reports, correct errors, submit payroll, and maintain payroll registers, tax reports, earnings reports, and month end records.

• Administer employee benefits, including new hire enrollment, annual open enrollment, qualifying life events, terminations, and COBRA coordination.

• Maintain Employee Navigator records, verify payroll deductions and employer contributions, and assist employees with benefit access and coverage questions.

• Prepare retirement plan census and contribution files, reconcile errors, and support plan audits and compliance activities.

• Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions and workplace concerns, escalating sensitive or complex matters when appropriate.

• Support employee relations matters, coaching, disciplinary documentation, attendance matters, and separation processes.

• Administer leave and return to work processes, including FMLA correspondence, medical documentation, light duty tracking, and workers compensation coordination.

• Partner with hiring managers on job postings, application reviews, phone screens, interview scheduling, and applicant tracking.

• Prepare offer letters and onboarding materials, coordinate pre employment requirements, first day activities, safety training, and new hire equipment.

• Maintain onboarding documentation, training assignments, orientation records, employee records, certifications, licenses, emergency contacts, safety records, and other required HR documentation.

• Track Form I-9 and E Verify completion, occupational health requirements, and employee training documentation.

• Support payroll, benefits, retirement, workers compensation, general liability, and other internal or external audits.

• Use Paylocity and related HR systems to maintain accurate employee data, reporting, workflows, and audit readiness.

• Approximately 2 to 4 years of relevant HR experience.

• Experience supporting HR, payroll, and benefits administration, including payroll processing and accurate employee recordkeeping.

• Working knowledge of employment practices, wage and hour requirements, benefits administration, leave management, Form I-9 requirements, EEO principles, and HR recordkeeping.

• Experience with Paylocity, Employee Navigator, or comparable HRIS, payroll, benefits, and applicant tracking systems is strongly preferred.

• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem solving skills.

• Ability to manage recurring deadlines and multiple priorities.

• Sound judgment, discretion, empathy, and the ability to work effectively with employees, supervisors, managers, executives, brokers, and outside partners.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

• Associate degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field preferred. Equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

• Construction industry experience is helpful but not required.
