English Language Arts Coach & Interventionist

Job Posting Dates: July 10, 2025 – Until Filled Title: English Language Arts Coach & Interventionist Location: Paw Paw Middle School Reports to: Building Principal Job Type: Full-Time/Exempt Qualifications Hold a bachelor’s degree in education, or in a related field, from an accredited college or university Possess a valid Michigan teaching certificate with BX, and BR or BT endorsement Job Description Instruct students, grades 6‑8, using research‑supported literacy practices to improve student achievement at Paw Paw Middle School Provide literacy instructional coaching and support to teachers in grades 6‑8 Establish a working relationship and rapport with both teachers and principals through coaching conversations Provide ongoing classroom professional development and modeling to teachers through instructional coaching, assistance in planning and implementing best practices with an emphasis on building teacher and principal capacity Collect and analyze student data using local assessments, STAR, M‑STEP and PSAT/SAT, to adjust instructional needs and monitor school improvement plans and initiatives Maintain a structured environment that supports classroom management where students feel safe and engaged, promoting focus and collaboration Evaluate students’ academic and social growth, keep appropriate records, and prepare progress reports to advance student achievement Work collaboratively with a team to plan instruction, develop lesson plans and instructional materials, provide individualized and small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of students Acknowledge and embrace diversity to create an inclusive environment that respects and appreciates different backgrounds and perspectives Establish open communications with students, parents, staff, and the community Participate in district and school professional development programs, as required Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning Any other duties assigned by the Principal, and/or designee Salary/Benefits Per the PPEA Contract Days/Hours Follows PPEA School Calendar Start Date August 2025 How to Apply APPLY HERE Statement of Non-Discrimination: It is the policy of the Paw Paw Public School District that no discriminatory practices based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, height, weight, marital status, disability, genetic information or any other status covered by federal, state, or local law be allowed during any program, activity, service, or in employment.
