Cashier

CashierResponsible for collecting of admission fees, donations, distribution of maps, and other promotional materials to our guests. Achieves maximum sales profitability by effectively selling tickets, memberships, rides wristbands, and/or related services. Offer outstanding guest service skills.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesSell tickets and other promotional items to guestsIdentifies advantages and compares organization's products/services and assists guest in selecting those best suited to their needsAbility to handle cash, credit cards and checks accuratelyOperates a computer terminal and record discount information, separately tracking each coupon and promotion. Ability to make change and to perform simple arithmetic calculations with accuracy and with reasonable speedProvide quality guest interaction and serviceIssues receipts, tickets, and change with accuracyBalances and clears terminal and counts all fees received for the dayKeeps workstation and surrounding area clean and organized. Restocking of supplies each day as neededMay be on occasions assigned to assist in other areas of the zoo with crowd control or assist with rides departmentAbility to deal courteously with the public and zoo team members.
