Opportunity Information Alta Bates Summit Medical Center is home to the largest and most complex hospitalist program in Sutter East Bay, serving as a regional referral center for high‑acuity medical, surgical, oncologic, and specialty care across multiple campuses. Our hospitalists are the clinical backbone of the medical center—caring for the majority of hospitalized patients, co‑managing complex surgical and subspecialty populations, and partnering closely with nursing, case management, specialists, and hospital leadership to drive quality, flow, and patient experience. This role offers the opportunity to practice high‑acuity inpatient medicine within a large, well‑supported, and highly collaborative group, with exposure to teaching, quality improvement, and program development.
