Our Indianapolis facility also supports a variety of other product lines serving multiple Department of Defense (DoD) customers providing the opportunity to work on a diverse set of programs and roles supporting the continued advancement of your career.ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Systems Engineer provides program support throughout the development life cycle, from concept development, requirements definition, functional analysis, design review support, system implementation, integration, verification, and validation. The Senior Systems Engineer will work within a cross-functional Integrated Product Team (IPT), where effective communication and team building skills are critical to success.The ideal candidate embraces modern development processes and techniques that improve product quality & team productivity. We are looking for engineers that enjoy a challenge and have a passion to support our DoD customers and international allies.QualificationsRequired Skills:Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.Minimum 5 years of related engineering experience in systems, software, or hardware engineering.Experience with requirements development, hardware and software integration, and requirements verification.Experience with development, integration, and test of complex systems onto air, sea, and/or ground platforms.Experience with test execution including test plan and procedure development.Experience creating Trade Studies and analyzing technical data.Experience applying technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques to solve problems.Experience providing leadership, technical direction, and guidance to multi-discipline teams.Strong communication skills and ability to effectively communicate to internal and external stakeholders.Strong accountability with the ability to work autonomously to deliver high quality work products on-schedule.In-depth understanding of the System Engineering Lifecycle and processes.Must have a valid U.S. Passport.Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.Desired Skills:Experience managing suppliers and overseeing the development of subsystems and componentsKnowledge and experience working with digital data standards such as: MIL-STD-1553, MIL-STD-1760, Universal Armament Interface (UAI), Radio Frequency (RF) communication, and ENET protocolsExperience with Model Based Systems Engineering methods, tools, and languagesExperience working with government customers including the US Army, US Navy, USMC, and/or USAFCurrent Active DoD Secret or higher ClearanceEducation / Certifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related STEM discipline.At V2X, we are deeply committed to both equal employment opportunity, including protection for Veterans and individuals with disabilities, and fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace.
