Senior .NET Accessibility Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior .NET Accessibility Developer to support the modernization and accessibility remediation of enterprise web applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with C#, .NET/.NET Core, JavaScript, Telerik, HTML5, CSS3, WCAG 2.1/2.2, ADA Section 508 , and accessible PDF development.

The candidate will work on legacy .NET web applications, perform accessibility audits, identify compliance gaps, implement code-level fixes, and ensure applications and generated documents meet applicable accessibility standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and modernize enterprise web applications using C#, .NET, and .NET Core .

• Work with Telerik UI , HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript front-end technologies.

• Perform comprehensive accessibility audits of existing web applications.

• Identify and remediate accessibility issues to meet WCAG 2.1/2.2 Level AA and ADA Section 508 requirements.

• Use accessibility testing tools such as NVDA, WAVE , and automated scanning tools.

• Review application source code and implement systematic accessibility remediation.

• Audit legacy PDF reporting functionality and identify accessibility deficiencies.

• Develop and maintain accessible/tagged PDF reports , including proper reading order and structural elements.

• Work with legacy Crystal Reports and modernize PDF reporting workflows where required.

• Integrate accessibility improvements directly into existing .NET application workflows.

• Utilize enterprise AI development tools such as GitHub Enterprise Cloud Copilot and Anthropic Claude for code analysis, refactoring, documentation, and test generation.

• Participate in modern DevOps and CI/CD processes.

• Collaborate with developers, QA teams, business stakeholders, and technical teams to resolve accessibility issues.

• Document remediation activities, technical changes, and accessibility testing results.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with C# and .NET/.NET Core

• Full-stack web application development experience

• JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3

• Hands-on experience with Telerik UI

• Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.1/2.2 Level AA

• Knowledge of ADA Section 508

• Experience with web accessibility testing and remediation

• Experience with NVDA, WAVE , or similar accessibility tools

• Experience developing accessible/tagged PDFs

• Experience with PDF reading order and structural tagging

• Experience with Crystal Reports

• Experience with DevOps/CI/CD pipelines

• Experience with Git/GitHub

• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience modernizing legacy enterprise applications

• Government or public-sector application development experience

• Experience with Section 508 compliance projects

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a Senior .NET Developer with strong accessibility expertise , rather than a general .NET developer. Candidates should be able to demonstrate hands-on experience auditing and remediating web applications for WCAG/Section 508 compliance and creating accessible PDF reports .
