Data Architect

A leading healthcare payor is seeking a Data Architect to join its Enterprise Data Office. We're looking for a hands-on architect with deep expertise in dimensional modeling, enterprise data warehousing, and healthcare data integration. This individual will develop and implement the design of scalable, enterprise-wide data solutions that support analytics, interoperability, and strategic business initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
• Translate business requirements into enterprise data models and architecture solutions
• Design fact and dimension models, Star/Snowflake schemas, and conformed dimensions.
• Define data architectures that support healthcare use cases i.e. Clinical, Claims, Member, Provider, EHR etc.
• Develop strategies for Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCDs) and enterprise data standardization.
• Evaluate and recommend cloud platforms, data frameworks, and integration technologies.
• Establish scalable data ingestion, integration, and data warehousing strategies.

Required Skills & Experience
• 9+ years of Data Architecture experience
• 5+ years working on healthcare specific data solutions (i.e. Claims, Member, Provider, EHR, etc.)
• Expert-level experience with dimensional modeling, including fact tables, dimensions, Star Schemas, Snowflake Schemas
• Experience designing and implementing Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCDs).
• Experience building data solutions on the Databricks or Snowflake platform
• 5+ years of experience designing data solutions in cloud environments (ideally Azure)
• Hands-on experience with data modeling tools such as Erwin.
• Strong proficiency with SQL, NoSQL databases, Python, and PySpark.
• Experience with enterprise integration technologies including Azure Data Factory (ADF), Kafka, IBM DataStage, Informatica, and Databricks.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable, production-ready data solutions
• Understanding of business intelligence, reporting, and analytics platforms.


Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Data Vault, Medallion Architecture, or real-time streaming data experience.
• Experience building interoperability and API-driven data solutions.
Knowledge of healthcare data standards such as (HL7, FHIR, CCDs, HIE, USCDI-US Core etc.).
