The Role

As a Certified Veterinary Technician at Elite Veterinary Specialists, you'll work alongside our veterinary ophthalmologists on challenging and rewarding cases, making a real difference in the lives of our patients and their owners. You'll build on your core technician skills while learning the specialized world of veterinary ophthalmology.

What You'll Do

• Monitor and manage patients of all sizes under anesthesia, including patients on a ventilator
• Prepare surgical sites and care for surgical instruments
• Maintain anesthesia machines and related equipment
• Perform venipuncture and prepare laboratory specimens
• Learn to perform ophthalmic diagnostic tests, with training from our team
• Support clients with clear, compassionate communication throughout their pet's care

What We're Looking For

• A passion for veterinary ophthalmology and a strong desire to learn
• Empathetic communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients and team members
• A state credential (CVT, LVT, or RVT) is preferred but not required
• Adaptability and openness to new professional challenges
• The ability to work independently while knowing when to ask for help
• A positive attitude and grace under pressure
