Tech - MLT/Medical Technologist/Clinical Lab Scientist

Job Summary:


Seeking a qualified Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join our clinical lab team for a 13-week assignment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform microbiology, blood bank, and other laboratory testing with accuracy and efficiency.
• Conduct gram stains, culture plate inoculations, and blood cultures as required.
• Collect quality blood samples through proficient phlebotomy techniques.
• Rotate through weekend and holiday shifts, including Thursday night, while maintaining adherence to safety protocols.
• Maintain proficiency in Covid-19 safety regulations, PPE, and infection control procedures.
• Prioritize and multitask laboratory tasks to meet operational demands.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited medical laboratory technician or medical technologist program.
• Proven experience in microbiology, blood bank, and clinical tests.
• Proficiency in phlebotomy and blood bank testing.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Certification as an MLT (ASCP or equivalent preferred).
