Steamfitter/Pipefitter Apprentices and Journeypersons (Jansen)

Position Overview Company: Aecon Construction Solutions Inc. (ACSI) Location: Jansen, SK, Canada Role: Pipefitter / Steamfitter Apprentice & Journeyperson Project: BHP Wet Mill Key Responsibilities Install, assemble, and maintain piping systems according to specifications and drawings. Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine the layout of piping systems. Measure and cut pipes using various tools to ensure proper fit before installation. Join pipes using welding, soldering, or adhesive techniques ensuring leak‑proof connections. Inspect and test piping systems for safety and performance, adjusting as necessary. Collaborate with other trades professionals to ensure timely completion of projects. Follow all safety protocol, policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Mentor apprentices (for journeypersons). Requirements and Experience Valid Provincial Journeyperson Ticket or indentured in a Provincial apprenticeship program. CSTS‑20 Certificate. Fall Protection – In Class. Mobile Elevated Work Platform – In Class. Experience as a Pipefitter in an industrial construction environment. Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a quick‑paced setting. Ability to lift and work with materials weighing up to 25kg. Ability to work in all weather conditions and environments. Strong understanding of industrial safety procedures and policies. Fluent in English, both written and verbal. Project Details Rate: $40.00 to $50.00 per hour Overtime: After 8 hours/day or 40 hours/week Schedule: 14x7 (days/nights), 11 hours per shift Camp: Yes Transportation Allowance: $0–85km: $0; 85–1,406km: $1,406.00; >2,000km: based on proof of residency Candidates are required to complete pre‑employment Drug & Alcohol testing.
