Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 AM - 07:15 PM Hours per Shift: 13 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: - Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing Certifications: - Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 months of hire - Basic Life Support obtained within 1 month of hire - Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 months of hire - Advanced Cardiac Life Support obtained prior to hire Must-Have: - Critical thinking skills - Decisive judgment - Ability to work with minimal supervision - Capability to work in a stressful environment Description: Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols. Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate. Serves as a primary coordinator for well-coordinated patient care. Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders. Assesses and coordinates patient discharge planning needs. Requires the ability to work within a complex environment. Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required. Must possess the ability to handle acute patient care situations effectively.
