SENIOR COOK (FULL TIME)

Senior Cook – Full Time Location: Texas Children’s Hospital – 6621 Fannin Street, Houston, TX 77030. Online applications only. Schedule: Full‑time. Open availability is preferred; days and hours may vary. Pay Range: $17.56 to $21.00 per hour. Responsibility: Previous patient cooking and kitchen experience in a healthcare setting required. Job Summary Prepares food to ensure it is nutritious and properly flavored in accordance with applicable federal, state, local, and company standards, guidelines, and regulations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities May supervise food service associates as directed by the Food Service Director. Prepare various entrees and menu items following established recipes. Operate and clean equipment after each use; perform scheduled routine cleaning. Store, label, and date food items according to policy; maintain organized storage of dry goods and refrigerated and frozen products. Follow HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of the food supply. Comply with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures. Assist the Food Service Director in maintaining accurate daily production records and completing required documentation, reports, and logs. Assist in cross‑training junior employees. Perform other duties as assigned.
