Tailor-Made Associate Position for 4-Doctor Independent

Position Overview We are an independent veterinary practice located in Lodi, California, serving a community of approximately 60,000 residents. Our clinic is expanding and includes a 9‑room exam area, a double surgery suite, and a double dental suite. We work a 4‑day per week schedule with no walk‑in patients and no after‑hours emergency coverage. Compensation & Benefits Base salary: $175,000 per year (hourly rate based on a 4‑day week) 5 weeks paid vacation 2 weeks paid maternity/paternity leave Relocation stipend and student‑loan stipend (negotiable) Continuing Education stipend and 3 days paid time off for CE Health and life insurance 401(k) with 4% company match Uniform allowance Paid dues and licensing fees Unlimited unpaid time off Annual Great American Triathlon registration (Run, Bike or Paddle) Schedule & Work–Life Balance 4‑day week with designated lunch break of 2 hours Practice doors close at 5:30 PM Monday‑Friday; no after‑hours emergency work No walk‑in patients; practice philosophy emphasizes quality care and staff support Responsibilities Provide routine and urgent medical care for cats, dogs, and select exotic patients Perform surgeries, dentistry, and other medical procedures as needed Collaborate with a supportive team of RVT, VAA, and CSR staff Maintain accurate clinical records and follow up with clients Communicate treatment plans clearly to clients Qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) graduate Board certified or licensed to practice veterinary medicine in California Strong clinical skills across routine care, urgent care, surgery, and dentistry Excellent communication skills with clients and staff Team‑oriented attitude and professional demeanor New graduates welcome; experienced doctors also encouraged Location Lodi is located 30 minutes south of Sacramento and provides access to outdoor recreation such as Napa Valley, Tehachapi Mountains, and the Sierra Nevada foothills.
