Senior Compensation Specialist

Our client, a publicly traded fintech firm located in New York, NY, is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Compensation Analyst to join their team. This individual will play a critical role in supporting U.S. compensation programs, with a strong focus on equity administration, compensation modeling, and end-to-end cycle execution. Candidates must have comprehensive experience managing full compensation cycles, including merit, bonuses, and equity. The role requires hands-on ownership of data, analysis, and executive-ready deliverables—not just process advisory support. Candidates must have 5+ years of compensation experience within financial services, fintech, or a publicly traded company. HOURS November (20 hours per week) December (30-40 hours per week; except for last week Xmas to NYE) Jan & Feb - 40 hours per week March - 20 hours/as needed Responsibilities include: Manage full compensation cycles, including merit, bonus, and equity planning/execution. Support and administer U.S. public-company equity programs, including Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). Own the compensation cycle end-to-end, including data uploads, validations, issue resolution, and final reporting. Build and maintain compensation models; validate data; and produce executive-level analyses and materials. Extract, clean, validate, reconcile, and analyze large employee and market datasets, including job architecture, benchmarking data, performance ratings, headcount, and budgets. Prepare weekly tracking reports, spend projections, and variance analyses for senior leadership. Conduct final audits and reconciliations across salary, bonus, and equity programs to ensure accuracy and data integrity. Partner cross-functionally with HR, Finance, and other stakeholders to support compensation planning and execution. Requirements: 5+ years of compensation experience within financial services, fintech, or a publicly traded company. Hands-on experience with U.S. public-company equity programs and RSU administration. Comprehensive experience managing full compensation cycles, including merit, bonus, and equity planning/execution. Demonstrated ability to run compensation cycles independently and produce executive-ready outputs. Advanced Excel or Google Sheets expertise, including pivot tables, complex formulas, modeling, scenario analysis, and large-scale data manipulation.
