Lead HVAC Installer

Take charge of residential HVAC installations, lead a crew, and set the standard for quality workmanship. One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning of San Diego is looking for an experienced Lead HVAC Installer who can manage installations from start to finish. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, communicates well, and can help develop installers and apprentices.

What You'll Do

• Lead residential and light-commercial HVAC installations
• Work hands-on alongside helpers and junior installers
• Coordinate equipment, materials, tools, and daily job requirements
• Ensure installations meet company standards, manufacturer specifications, and applicable codes
• Complete system startups, commissioning, and final quality-control checks
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
• Complete job documentation accurately and on time
• Communicate professionally with customers, dispatchers, office staff, and management
• Train and mentor apprentices and developing installers
• Identify installation concerns and communicate solutions before they become problems

Compensation

• $30$40 per hour, depending on experience

Required Qualifications

• At least three years of residential HVAC installation experience
• Demonstrated ability to independently lead complete HVAC installations
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and leadership skills
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of HVAC installation work
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to successfully complete applicable pre-employment screening

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supervising helpers or installation crews
• EPA Section 608 certification
• NATE certification
• Experience with heat pumps, furnaces, air conditioners, package units, and ductwork
• Familiarity with permitting, inspections, startup procedures, and commissioning documentation
