Job Summary The Production Team Lead supports daily production and assembly activities by guiding a team through assigned work, priorities, and quality expectations. This is a hands‑on leadership role that balances task coordination with active participation in production operations. The Team Lead helps keep work moving efficiently, supports problem‑solving on the floor, and serves as a key communication link between the team and supervision. Responsibilities Coordinate daily tasks, assignments, and priorities for a team of assemblers. Provide hands‑on support and technical guidance during mechanical, electrical, and system assembly tasks. Monitor work quality, verify compliance with assembly standards, and address basic defects or rework needs. Support troubleshooting of routine and moderately complex assembly issues. Communicate schedule updates, material needs, and risks to the Assembly Supervisor or Project Lead. Train, coach, and mentor new or less experienced assemblers in tools, processes, safety, and workflow expectations. Promote safe work practices, enforce PPE requirements, and stop work when unsafe conditions arise. Maintain an organized work area and ensure team readiness regarding materials, documentation, and equipment. This is not intended to be an all‑inclusive list of job duties and responsibilities. Qualifications Education / Experience High school diploma with 4+ years of assembly or relevant experience. Demonstrated ability to lead small teams and provide on‑the‑job technical guidance. Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate tasks across a team. Proficiency in interpreting drawings, schematics, and engineering documentation. Abilities The position requires the ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Candidates must demonstrate physical strength and stamina to perform various tasks, including but not limited to loading, unloading, operating equipment, and assisting in the transportation of various materials. Proper lifting techniques and safety protocols must be followed to ensure personal and team safety. Relocate a 12 foot stepladder without assistance. Work at various heights up to 60 feet and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and all types of ladders. Walk, climb, lift, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, and reach overhead on a routine and repetitive basis. Possess good vision (may be corrected), the ability to see in color, and the ability to hear and communicate in English. May use a standard ladder without exceeding the weight limit while carrying tools. Tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem. Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
