Located in Montebello, CA Salary: $21.00-$25.00 per hour Maintenance Mechanic (Montebello, CA)$21.00-$25.00 per hour, DOE Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM-2:30 PM Seeking a Maintenance Mechanic with electrical expertise in the city of Montebello. The position involves maintaining and repairing production machines to ensure optimal functionality. If you possess these skills, we encourage you to apply today! You are applying with Express Employment Professionals. Maintenance Mechanic Responsibilities:- Conduct machine setup, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Ensure the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines.
- Follow diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, manufacturer instructions, and engineering specifications when troubleshooting malfunctions.
- Remove defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; and examining the form and texture of parts.
- Use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
- Utilize hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
- Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance.
- Fabricate repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
- Maintain equipment, parts, and supply inventories by checking stock to determine inventory levels; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; and verifying receipt.
- Provide mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
- Prepare mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- May initiate purchase orders for parts and machines.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Mechanic, with a focus on electrical systems.
- Strong knowledge of industrial machinery and electrical components.
- Experience in machine setup and maintenance services.
- Ability to repair electrical equipment.
- Solid understanding of safety regulations and practices.
