IT Service Technician

Our technicians handle repairs, installations, upgrades, and emergency support 24/7/365, covering everything from mobile POS to loyalty programs, online ordering, and cloud reporting. The Role This role splits time between our Islandia office and client sites across Long Island and parts of Brooklyn and Queens. In the office, you'll handle system staging, in-house software/hardware setup, and help desk support. On-site, you'll install and configure POS hardware and software, set up networks and peripherals, troubleshoot issues, and train clients and their staff on system use. You'll keep clear records of your service work throughout. What You'll Do Stage, build, and test systems in-house before deployment Install, configure, and maintain POS hardware and software at client sites Set up networking (Optimum, Verizon, Spectrum modems/routers) Diagnose and repair hardware, software, and network issues - in office and in the field Train customers and their staff on system use Complete daily service paperwork accurately and on time Be available for scheduled on-call evenings/weekends What You'll Need High school diploma or equivalent required; computer technician or networking school a plus Comfortable with Windows 11 Pro and basic networking Good people skills - you'll be face-to-face with customers regularly Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license Must own a proper set of hand tools, as expected of a professional technician Up-to-date smartphone and Windows 11 Pro laptop Able to lift/move up to 70 lbs and work in tight spaces, under counters, on ladders Comfortable traveling to client sites across Long Island, Brooklyn, and Queens Compensation: Based on experience Mileage: Reimbursed for travel to client sites Note: Background check and non-compete agreement required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
