STAFF ACCOUNTANT

LOCATION
Fort Worth, TX | Onsite

COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
• Starting at $65,000+ annually, based on experience
• Monday through Friday, fully onsite
• Full-time, temp-to-hire

ROLE IMPACT
Own day-to-day, full-cycle accounting for an established IT infrastructure services organization supporting clients across North America. This hands-on role focuses heavily on Accounts Receivable while supporting Accounts Payable, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, month-end close, payroll, and related administrative functions. Success requires accurate financial records, timely resolution of billing and payment issues, and the ability to manage multiple accounting priorities independently.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Create customer invoices for projects, services, and equipment; monitor Accounts Receivable (AR) aging, follow up on past-due balances, apply payments, and reconcile customer accounts.
• Process vendor invoices, support timely payments, reconcile vendor statements, and resolve Accounts Payable (AP), billing, payment, and purchase order discrepancies.
• Prepare and post journal entries, maintain general ledger (GL) records, and complete bank, balance sheet, and account reconciliations.
• Support month-end and year-end close, including accruals and adjustments; maintain financial reports, spreadsheets, accounting records, and audit documentation.
• Assist with payroll and administrative or operational responsibilities while partnering with leadership and other departments to resolve financial issues.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• 3+ years of Staff Accountant, full-cycle accounting, bookkeeping, or similar accounting experience.
• Strong hands-on Accounts Receivable experience, including invoicing, collections, payment application, and account reconciliation, plus Accounts Payable experience.
• Experience with general ledger accounting, journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close; ability to prioritize responsibilities and work independently with strong attention to detail.

• Zoho or QuickBooks Online preferred

PREFERRED SKILLS
• Experience in a small to mid-sized organization managing multiple accounting functions.
• Experience assisting with payroll and/or HR-related administrative functions.
• Experience in IT services, construction, project-based services, or a similar environment.
