Staff Accountant

Pay: $90,000 - $100,000 + 10% Bonus

Location: Santa Clarita, CA — onsite daily

A rapidly growing manufacturing company is seeking a motivated Staff Accountant to join its Finance team. This role will work closely with the Controller to build and enhance accounting infrastructure and processes in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who enjoys learning, taking ownership, and growing their accounting career.

Key Responsibilities

• Support month-end close, including GL reconciliations, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and close schedules
• Manage daily and monthly invoicing, including direct customer interaction
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate transaction processing and internal controls
• Perform inventory reconciliations, support cycle counts, and assist with physical inventory audits
• Analyze standard vs. actual costs and investigate variances
• Develop and maintain accounting procedures and internal control documentation
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
• Support annual financial audits and tax filings
• Identify opportunities to improve financial reporting and accounting processes
• Assist with ad-hoc projects and other accounting initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
• 2–4+ years of accounting experience; CPG or manufacturing experience strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA or a similar ERP preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines
• Self-starter with strong attention to detail, judgment, initiative, and ownership
